New Metrics - November 20th, 2015

The GELP community have been interrogating the question of new metrics across three events. In the run up to Sydney a group gathered to ask in this paper: what kind of outcomes should new assessments and metrics seek to measure? Following this, we took a step back and asked, are there other ways of using metrics to move systems towards transformation? In this paper we looked at how a value chain could help with that approach.

Personalisation - October 19th, 2015

In March 2014, a group of GELP partners gathered in New York City to undertake a study visit of personalized learning in the NYC iZone. Participants each visited two schools, learnt from key iZone partners and the innovate NYC team, and took part in a workshop about the design of the new iZone Academy. On the final afternoon, groups presented learning on three key challenges to the senior iZone team.

GELP Seattle - November 6th, 2011

The biggest in the programme’s history, the GELP Global Event in November 2011 welcomed 83 delegates, with 54 GELP members in teams from 13 jurisdictions.

10 countries and 5 continents were represented at the event, which was held at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation conference centre in Seattle, Washington, USA.

The framing question asked of jurisdiction teams before the event was:

What are you and your GELP team planning to do in your jurisdiction over the next six months to progress your journey towards 21st century education and the learning society?
