GELP began when a group of system leaders, ambitious for the future of education in their jurisdictions, agreed to work together to transform their education systems so that every learner could develop the skills, knowledge and dispositions they need to survive and thrive in the 21st century. The 2016-2017 prospectus outlines our current work and vision for the future.
Over six years the Global Education Leaders’ partnership has created the most powerful alliance of global education leaders committed to transforming learning systems to meet the needs of learners. As we hurtle through the second decade of the 21st century, the pressure for radical change to mainstream education is becoming ever more urgent. Redesigning Education captures the journeys of cities and countries around the world as they travel from the education systems they have to the education systems they want and need.
